Roman Solene
Roman, called Rom by family and friends, is president and CEO of Desert Compass LLC. He is a veteran of 7 years in the United States Marine Corps. After his tour in the Marines he spent the early part of his career in the legal profession before transitioning into business administration and development. He has been a stalwart advocate for business transformation and continuous improvement, and for the past 25 years has worked in various industries helping his clients transform their business model and practices. His past experiences include being President and CEO of TRXdata, Inc., a company focused on supporting the finance and accounting and customer service functions of several brand-name airlines and other aerospace related entities. Over the past decade, his focus has been on supporting communications, manufacturing, consumer products, and media and entertainment clients. Rom is a licensed pilot and aircraft owner.
Dr. Navid Yazdi
Dr. Yazdi is resident AI advisor for aerospace and electrical engineering, and manufacturing production design. A passionate advocate for procedural optimization and disciplined rigor within engineering, he has a keen focus on identifying likely failure points in engineering designs. With the rise of AI across industries, Dr. Yazdi has leveraged this new frontier to incorporate it into his role of advising clients on how best to deploy AI and GenAI within their organizations to optimize the engineering design process, and eliminate waste and reduce costs within manufacturing and production environments. In addition to his aerospace and electrical engineering background, Dr. Yazdi also practiced medicine in the early part of his career. Dr. Yazdi is a licensed commercial pilot, with over 3,000 flight hours.
Teri Killingsworth
Teri is the AI advisor for client back-office optimization, and is also Director of Client Services. Teri started her professional career in business development and administrative support for SMBs before transitioning into administration within the Kansas university system. She further expanded her career by working with client engagements to leverage AI/GenAI to help them optimize their back-office support functions and eliminate costs, thus helping her clients to transform how they do business. Teri oversees all of Desert Compass’ client transformation projects and is an integral part of client solution development and implementation, and she also oversees Desert Compass' client portfolio.
